Jesus died, for us

what a great day today!
i had to sign up for water baptism today so i rushed the name out
really wanna thank God for yingjie, fiona leow and jacq for helping me in the finding of names
thank yingjie for giving me a LONG list of names for peace
thank ah leow for pei-ing me as we think of baptism names tgt (fiona caris leow)
thank jacq for giving me another list last minute

paule is actually the girl name for paul
paul was really a respectable character in the bible
anyway.. ah.. pray tt lc will get baptised with me
pray tt sharmaine will hurry think of her baptism name

i feel so deprived w/o my pencil case
i cannot write things i learn from bible down alr so i decided to blog about it

quiet time with God: 1 cor. 15, 1 cor. 16, 2 cor. 1
in 1 cor. 15, i learnt that when we preach about the gospel, we must do it with faith and conviction. if we claim that there is no resurrection it means tt Jesus did not resurrect at all and we are false witnesses of God. also, we should never mix with bad company and really come back to our senses. STOP sinning cause it will just pull me away from God. and as we walk with God everyday of our lifes, we realise that we are changing. but it is barely noticable, only the people around us can see. (v51-54)
in 1 cor. 16, i learnt that when we do something for God, we are sure to face opposition. because the great door is opened to us. we must always be on our guard, stand strong, stand firm in faith. be man of courage, be strong. doing everything in love of God. (v13-14)
in 2 cor. 1, i learnt that in all times if troubles, we should never be afraid because God is with us. but when we are comforted by our compassionate God, we will use the comfort He used to comfort us to comfort someone else. (v3-4) when we face problems, pressure in life, we feel that it is the sentence of life. but we should always take that time to really pray to God and talk to God. cause that is the time where we are the closest to God as we know that the only person we can rely now is God. (v9) God, is a faithful God. because no matter what promises He made, it will always come true. He will never disappoint us by saying sorry or apologising but in fact faithful and does what He promises.
